Robert Frederick an Army Veteran with the 101st Airborne parted our lives at age 66. He passed on May 14, 2017 at Hermann Memorial Medical Center due to a motorcycle accident in Houston, TX.
Robert served two tours of duty during the Vietnam War, where he earned the following medals: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with PALM, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, and Air Medal with Valor. His love besides his family was getting on his motorcycle and feeling the wind on his face. He rode with the Patriot Guard for a time in honor of his brothers and sisters in arms.
Survived by his Wife Ann, Mother Bernice, Brother and Sister Paul and Sandy, daughters Amberly and husband Dennis, Aimee and husband Rick, and son Tyler. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren, as well as many loving family members.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations are made to the Chad O Foundation (Cpl. Chad Eric Oligschlaeger Foundation for PTSD, Inc.) that helps Dad’s Brothers and Sisters in arms who are suffering with PTSD. Chad O helps Veterans heal from the trauma of war through methods that do not require medication with a huge success rate. They have saved numerous Veterans from taking their own lives. Chad’s mother and father have successfully created this foundation in honor of their son who passed from multiple drug toxicity due to the meds prescribed to battle PTSD.
