Benefit Ride, 2011
May 21, 2011 was the date for the 3rd Annual Cpl. Chad Oligschlaeger Ride/Rally. The Color Guard from McNeil High School was on hand to open the festivities with our National Anthem and Flag display.
Our 95 mile trek this year began with kick stands up at Weirdos Restaurant & Sports Bar in North Austin. With temperature rising into the 90’s, stops in Lockhart at Kreuz Market and Gonzales at the always refreshing Long Branch Saloon were welcomed by all.
We rolled into Yoakum to find our host, Fat Albert's BBQ & Ice House ready for some fun. Great food, live music from The Dirty Birds, a silent auction and washer tournament kept us entertained well into the night.
An added bonus this year was the poker run ending back at Weirdos for those doing an early turn around. Trophies for the winning hand and first break down were awarded.
We can hardly wait for next year’s ride on May 19, 2012! Stay tuned for details

Benefit Ride, 2010
After a stormy night, the morning of May 15, 2010 arrived with clear skies and beautiful conditions for the 2nd Annual Cpl. Chad O. Memorial Benefit/Ride for P.T.S.D. (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). The 95 miles from Austin to Yoakum included a stop in Lockhart at Werner’s Steakhouse for a quick stretch of the legs and liquid refreshments. A second stop at the Long Branch Saloon in Gonzales kept the riders refreshed for the final leg. We arrived in Yoakum to find our host, Fat Albert’s BBQ & Ice House with a newly expanded patio and a stage area. We spent the afternoon enjoying great food from Fat Albert’s while listening to live music from Mike and the Moon Pies. A washer tournament, a pool tournament and a silent auction added to the festivities. We are already looking forward to next year's ride. See you all on May 21, 2011!!
